This year's winners were chosen for their flexible schedules, creative family-friendly benefits and dedication to their communities. The Entrepreneur Mom Award winners embody the same spirit, leading innovative firms that champion work/life balance.

Linda Byerline, CEO and founder of Happy Heinys is ecstatic to be the winner of this award.
"What we do here at our shop though is not so that we can win an award or say that we are the best company for women to work at. We do what we do because it is so important that as parents we are able to be there for our children," states Linda Byerline

"I know how important it is to be able to attend my child's award ceremony in the middle of the day, not scheduled during a lunch break or how frustrating it can be when we as women need to worry about the loss of our job due to a chronically ill child. When we opened our store it was my dream to have a workplace where other moms can feel confident that they will not lose their job over an issue with a child. We have had parents of teens who need to take time off to help their troubled children and parents of babies who bring their children to work. When a mom is able to go to a school function and not be concerned about losing their job, the hours they spend on the job is often times much more productive because they are happy there. We have a set up at our shop that included a play area for kids, snacks for kids, the availability of breastfeeding/sleeping for infants and older children. We are truly a family company, the company of my dreams," says Linda Byerline.
