A Little Company History

I'm Linda and I'm a WAHM to my 3 kiddos. Michael is 7 - he is my brain. Jacob is 5 - wish I had his energy! Sarah Grace is 2 ½ - she’s my preemie who has been through more in her short life than most go through in a lifetime. She's my fighter.

Many people ask who Linda Byerline is. Well, before diapers I was, am, and always Byerline Family will be a mom. I have 3 children whom I could not imagine life without, and a wonderful husband who puts up with my mess of diaper pieces, scraps, lint, and so much more. My husband is self employed and never said a word when his home office was over run with sewing machines and diapers. I could not ask for a more supportive man.

Who sews Happy Heinys? Right now there are 3 of us who sew. A friend of mine does my solids, and also hand cuts all of my materials. They are sent directly to her and then I just pick up the cut pieces. This makes my life easier plus I would be terrified to have a saw in the house with my kids! My sister-in-law comes to my house, picks up cut pieces, takes them home to sew, then returns the finished product to me. She sews about 1/2 of the print diapers. She is the mother of 5 kids, ages 12, 5, 3, and 7 month old twins. After the birth of her twins she needed something to help out financially so she could stay home with them. Then there is me. I also work solely out of my home, minus runs to the post office. I sew roughly 1/2 of the print diapers and the hemp products. I also do all of the office work, packing, shipping, and customer service. We did hire a larger contractor for a short period of time but due to the quality issues we promptly stopped using them.

I am extremely proud that we have been able to keep this business in the family. All who work at sewing the diapers do so for the same reasons. We WANT to stay home. We don't have our kids in daycare at all which has been one of our primary goals. Why did we create Happy Heinys? Well, in short, our kids are big. The few reusable diapers we tried left red marks on my daughter's legs. She had major plummer's behind because the rise was too short. We needed something that would fit our child. That’s what started it all.

We are extremely happy with what our company has grown into. We have no intention of moving out of our respective homes. Instead we plan on continuing to sew all night so we can be with our kids during the day. Depending on the growth of the business we may add one or 2 more moms that would help out. My main requirement is that they be moms first and the diapers come second to their families.

We hope that you will be pleased with our products and if there are ever any questions or concerns I am always available to help out or address any needs. Email me any time and I will try to help you in any way I can. I would not be where I am without the support of all of you and I want to personally thank everyone who has used my products and supported my endeavors to stay at home with my kids.
