charitable contributions
Here at Happy Heinys we have always believed that in order to be a successful company we must help those who are less unfortunate than we are. Several times during each year in business we have opted to help out with a variety of different charities. As our company continues to grow we look into different ways to help those who are in need, both those in other less fortunate countries as well as those who are close to our hearts.
As of January 2008 we have helped to raise more than $60,000 dollars for a variety of charities as well as diaper donations for those in need.
Oct 2007: Once again, the hometown of Happy Heinys is ravaged by fires. Once again Happy Heinys has had the ability to rebuild the reusable diapering stash of those who have lost everything. Also with the help of several Happy Heinys retailers we were also able to donate a large amount of other natural parenting items that were lost in the fires.
Sept 2007: Happy Heinys releases a breast cancer awareness diaper. 100% of profit from the sale of these diapers was donated to Susan G Komin in honor of family friends who are waging the battle for their lives against this awful disease.
July 2007: Happy Heinys helped to raise over $5000 for the Fistula Foundation. The Fistula Foundation is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of HYPERLINK "http://www.fistulafoundation.org/aboutfistula/index.html" \t "_blank"obstetric fistula, the devastating injury caused by obstructed labor, through support of the Hamlin Fistula Hospitals in Ethiopia.
June 2007: Happy Heinys is very excited to help to support the Jayneoni Moore Foundation and their first annual Big Baby Shower. We were pleased to be able to offer a large cash donation as well as our reusable diapers for the many pregnant teen moms invited to the event. The baby shower was designed to provide the children with products to help them live a healthier lifestyle and to bring awareness to the overwhelming amount of children living in poverty and homeless shelters.
February 2007: Happy Heinys helped to raise over $7000 for Autism Speaks. With so many of our children affected by this horrific illness we felt that it was time to try to focus on the children close to us.
July 2006: Happy Heinys helped to raise over $4000 for the Guatemala Stove Project. This money has helped to provide stoves for the Mayan people of Guatemala. Many of whom have only cooked their food in their homes on toxic fires that have led to death, illness, and blindness.
February 2006: Happy Heinys helped to raise nearly $10,000 for FIAU! This helped the FIAU project tremendously by allowing them to teach people around the planet to become more self sufficient and self supporting.
Sept 2005: Happy Heinys donates several thousands of reusable diapers to those affected by Hurricane Katrina.
July 2005: Happy Heinys helped to raise $8000 for the children of Timothy House Orphanage in Haiti. This money was spent on rent and feeding of the children during a volatile inflationary period.
February 2005: Happy Heinys helped to raise nearly $13000 for the handicapped children?s room, feeding program, and supplies for Aid for Orphans! This money also helped to bring many new toys, clothing, formula, and diapers to these children in need.
July 2004: Happy Heinys helped to raise over $3300 for a new generator for Timothy House Orphanage in Haiti. This allowed them to reduce the dependence on expensive coal and wood fuels. By decreasing the cost to heat the orphanage the children were able to be warm during the colder seasons.
February 2004: Happy Heinys helped to raise nearly $3000 for Aid for Orphans Feeding Program. This $3000 helped to feed the babies until our next event in Feb of 2005. Without this help these babies were fed mostly watered down formula which led to mal-nutrition among other serious conditions.
Oct 2003: Fires have ravaged the hometown of Happy Heinys. Many families within our community of attached parents have lost their homes as well as all of their diapering products. Happy Heinys was happy to be able to donate complete ne stashes for those in need. At this time we made the decision never to sell a ?2nd? diaper again. All seconds are kept for donations for those in need.
Sept 2003: Happy Heinys donated 10% of all profits to the Red Cross 9-11 fund
Sept 2002: Happy Heinys donated 10% of all profits to the Red Cross 9-11 fund. This charity was the start of what would soon become our regular charitable donations.
